eCry3.1Ab ELISA kit
eCry3.1Ab ELISA test kit is intended to be used for the qualitative detection of eCry3.1Ab chimeric protein present in transgenic Maize plant carrying Syngenta event 5307 (Agrisure Duracade©). The test is used to detect the eCry3.1Ab protein in individual Maize seed or leaf. It can also be used to detect the Syngenta event 5307 in bulk grain at 0.2 % (1 positive in 500 negative seeds).

An antibody specific to the eCry3.1Ab protein molecule is immobilized on the microwell plates and the second
antibody specific for eCry3.1Ab protein is conjugated with horse radish peroxidase ( HRP). When the sample
extracts are added to the microtiter wells, the eCry3.1Ab from sample binds to the antibody immobilized in
the well. This binding is subsequently detected by addition of enzyme-labeled antibody. After a washing step,
the substrate is added. The enzymatic reaction and development of color is proportional to the amount of eCry3.1Ab
present in the sample. The reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution. Absorbance is then measured
on a plate reader.
